Do you think that a European trip this year is just too expensive?
For all of my friends on the East coast and in the Midwest, WOW Air is offering round trip flights to Iceland, Ireland, England, Amsterdam, Brussels, Germany, Paris and many more for rock-bottom prices for September and October!!!
My husband and I booked round trip tickets from Chicago to Cork, Ireland for only $149 each way!!! That’s only $596 for 2 round-trip flights!!!!
These flights only include 1 stop in Reykjavik, Iceland for an hour. Wow Air also allows you to do a longer layover in Iceland for a few days and see the sights!! You could also just plan your entire trip to Iceland for only $99 each way from Chicago!!!
Now, the Wow Air company does charge a ridiculous amount for their baggage when compared to other overseas flights. But, you are allowed quite a large personal bag for free. So, my husband and I are planning to bring one small carry-on suitcase and then we will each bring a regular-sized backpack. We are only staying for a quick 5 nights so this should be plenty.
Just at a quick glance I see that you can fly from O’Hare, Chicago to Cork, Ireland for only $677 for 2 people, Sept 21st-Oct 2nd. That is cheaper than the flight I am taking to Dublin in June for one ticket!!!
I am planning on making this September trip to Ireland very cheap!! Ireland can be very budget friendly. We are looking at hotels and B&B for less that $100 a night for the 2 of us in Killarney, Dingle, Galway, and Cork. I have rented a manual car for the 6 days for only $94. Most of the sites my husband and I wish to see are free or very cheap. We are planning several days of leisurely driving around the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. We hope to spend our evenings in the pubs drinking a pint and enjoying the great Celtic music!! All in all, we plan to spend about $1500 for the entire 6 day trip for the 2 of us!!!
